This 59110-26050 Brake Master Cylinder generates hydraulic pressure for the braking system on Hyundai Santa Fe (SM generation, 2000-2006). The pedal force moves a piston inside the 1-inch (25.4 mm) bore, displacing fluid through two M10 x 1.0 outlet ports to engage the front and rear disc brakes. The cylinder uses a tandem piston system; the primary piston is directly actuated by the pedal pushrod, while the secondary piston is driven by hydraulic pressure from the primary circuit. This dual-circuit architecture ensures that braking capability remains on at least one axle if the other circuit suffers a leak, a fundamental safety provision for SUVs often carrying heavy loads or towing.
